Greetings, fellow travellers! Join me, Manasvi Singh, on an enchanting voyage to the mystical town of Vrindavan, where spirituality dances in the air and every corner resonates with tales of devotion. Let me take you through our delightful 2-day escapade, filled with sacred encounters, delectable cuisines, and cherished memories.
Day 1: Immersing in Divine Aura
Our journey commenced from the heart of Delhi, as we boarded the revered Goa Express, booked through the Paytm app, three days prior. With hearts brimming with anticipation, we embarked on our spiritual quest at 3:00 PM. The rhythmic hum of the train lulled us into a tranquil state as we traversed the verdant landscapes, bound for Mathura Junction.
Upon reaching Mathura at 5:30 PM, we embraced the vibrant chaos of the station, opting to hire a cab on the spot. Venturing forth, we reached the sacred precincts of Vrindavan, our home for the next two days—Radhika Wallabh Sadan, an Ashram that beckoned us with its serene ambiance, discovered through the realms of a YouTube blog.
After a brief respite, we set out to explore the enchanting Prem Mandir, adorned with resplendent lights as dusk descended. The evening Aarti enveloped us in a celestial aura, leaving an indelible imprint on our souls. As night draped the town in its ethereal cloak, we savoured delectable snacks at Vrindavan Wala Restaurant, offering flavoursome delights sans onion and garlic, earning a commendable 3-star rating from us.
Day 2: Revelling in Devotion and Delight
With the first light of dawn, we embarked on a spiritual odyssey, commencing at the revered Banke Bihari Temple, where divine grace embraced us during the sacred Darshan and Aarti ceremony. Our souls reverberated with devotion as we paid homage at the Radha Raman Temple and explored the mystical allure of Nidhivan, guided by the insightful narratives of local guides.
The morning hours slipped away in a blissful trance, leading us back to our abode for a sumptuous lunch ordered from Zomato. A brief siesta rejuvenated our spirits before we set out to explore the tranquil banks of the Yamuna River. Boating amidst the serene waters, we sampled local delicacies, savouring the essence of Vrindavan’s culinary delights.
Our spiritual journey culminated at the radiant ISKCON temple, where the mesmerising Sandhya Aarti cast a spell of tranquillity. Immersed in the divine ambiance, we explored the temple’s small museum, witnessing poignant moments of Radha Krishna’s eternal love.
As night descended, we relished a delightful dinner at a nearby dhaba, tantalising our taste buds with budget-friendly delights. Returning to our sanctuary, we bid farewell to Vrindavan, packing our bags in preparation for the journey home.
Cherishing Memories as we go back home.
With hearts brimming with divine blessings and cherished memories, we bid adieu to Vrindavan at dawn, booking a cab to Mathura Junction. Boarding the esteemed Tejas Express, we relished a delightful breakfast onboard, savouring the final moments of our spiritual sojourn.
As the train chugged into Delhi’s Nizamuddin Railway Station at 11:00 AM, we carried with us the essence of Vrindavan’s sanctity, etched in our hearts forevermore. Our journey, though brief, was a testament to the transformative power of faith and the boundless joys of spiritual exploration.
