Accommodation suggestions for Manali:
During our stay, we stayed at the Hollywood Hotel, which provided cosy balcony rooms for just Rs. 1,700 per day. If you need a heater, it’s an extra Rs. 400 per day. Conveniently located in Vashist, this hotel offers easy access to all the nearby attractions and sights. Also, don’t forget to drop by the renowned Lazy Dog Lounge before you leave!
Things to do in Manali on a 4-day trip:
- Mall Road: Discover the lively Mall Road of Manali with a shared cab ride costing just Rs. 30 per person. Also, dive into shopping and yummy food delights.
- Solang Valley for paragliding: Kickstart your second day of adventure by renting a scooter early in the morning from a nearby shop, priced at just Rs. 500 per day. Then, head straight to Solang Valley for an exhilarating paragliding experience.
- Atal Tunnel: The next stop was Atal Tunnel, where we explored the serene town of Sissu, taking a detour to Jispa. Along the way, relish local food.
- Hadimba Temple: On day 3, take it easy and start around 11:30 am after savouring some tea and coffee at your hotel. Then, make your way to the Hadimba Temple for a quiet visit. Dedicated to Hadimba Devi, the wife of Bhima from the Indian epic Mahabharata, the temple boasts intricate wooden architecture that reflects the craftsmanship of the local artisans. Also, don’t forget to treat your taste buds to the finest South Indian cuisine while you’re there!
- Vashisht Temple: Check out of your hotel and head over to the nearby Vashisht Temple for a visit. Dedicated to the revered sage Vashisht, this ancient temple is not just a religious site but also holds historical and cultural significance.
