Hi there, adventurers! My name is Abhijay, and I can’t wait to lead you on an exciting adventure through the amazing city of Rishikesh on our two-day group excursion. Come along as we explore the serene surroundings, bustling streets, and spiritual feelings that make Rishikesh a traveler’s dream come true.
Day 1: Travelling by Train to Peace to Begin Our Adventure
We started our journey from Agra to Haridwar with a rhythmic train ride. It was a good choice to go with the basic 250 INR trip without an AC cabin. The trip took us completely by surprise, painting a vivid image of the sights and noises along the way.
Bedzzz Rishikesh by Leisure is our home.
The beautiful Bedzzz Rishikesh by Leisure Hotels was our home away from home. This three-star jewel, which is located only 30 kilometers away from the holy Mansa Devi Temple, served as our haven. It served as the ideal haven for weary travelers, complete with communal lounges, a tranquil terrace, and a warm restaurant.
Riding Bikes to Explore Rishikesh
With a great desire to explore Rishikesh’s charms, we quickly acquired bikes to accompany us on our forthcoming trips.
Ghat Ganga: A Sacred Soak
Only ten km from our sanctuary was the holy Ganga Ghat, where we made our first stop. It was rather delightful to cool off in the Ganges’ sacred waters, finding solace in the river’s cold embrace.
Laxman Jhula: A stroll by the river
We had a picturesque 3-kilometer ride from the Ghat to the famous Laxman Jhula. The perfume of street cuisine beckoned along this well-known bridge, and we couldn’t help but indulge in regional specialties and relish the wide range of Rishikesh’s culinary options.
Ram Jhula: Savoury Treats
Only two kilometres away, at Ram Jhula, our research took us to a place of spiritual immersion where the sounds of temple bells and the aroma of incense enveloped us. Here, we indulged in additional street food to satiate our palates and fully experience the town’s delectable offers.
Shrines of Trembekeshawar: Reaching New Heights
The highlight of our day was waiting for us at Trembekeshawar Mandir, a stunning 13-story temple with sweeping views of Rishikesh. We took a rickshaw trip to this higher sanctuary, relishing the picturesque route that heightened our sense of adventure. As the sun set, the temple—just five kilometres from Ram Jhula—became a magnificent experience.
Our bellies were full with street food flavours and our spirits were soaring with spiritual joy as we made our way back to our haven.
Day 2: Triveni Ghat’s Grand Finale
Eight blissful kilometres from our refuge, in Triveni Ghat, was where our adventure came to an end. Here, the sacred rivers Yamuna, Saraswati, and Ganges converged to create an atmosphere of unmatched peace, an appropriate setting for introspection and peace before leaving Rishikesh behind.
