Hello, travel lovers!
Sushant is here, your travel buddy, ready to share my amazing experience from a trip to Jaipur. Jaipur, the Pink City, is a gem in India’s tourism industry, celebrated for its history, vibrant culture, and impressive architecture. Beyond its rich heritage, it provides budget-friendly exploration. A well-connected by air, rail, and road, embark on a two-day solo adventure to this royal destination.
The Best Places to Visit in Jaipur in Two Days
Hawa Mahal and Jantar Mantar: Jaipur’s Architectural Marvels
I started our journey at the iconic Hawa Mahal, an architectural marvel. The 50 INR entry ticket grants access to the Palace of Winds. Just 2 km from Hotel Classic Inn, a quick rickshaw ride took me to this symbol of Jaipur’s heritage. Known for its honeycomb structure, Hawa Mahal allowed royal ladies to secretly observe street festivities.
Next to Hawa Mahal was Jantar Mantar, an ancient monument. For just Rs. 200, I explored an epic architectural place. A quick 1 km walk or a short auto ride from Hawa Mahal brought me to this scientific wonder. The nearby market had traditional Rajasthani crafts, and I enjoyed street food.
Jaigarh Fort and Jai Mahal: Exploring Historic Wonders
The second day started with a visit to Jaigarh Fort, in the Aravalli range. Explore this military stronghold, offering stunning city views for just Rs. 100. A 15 km train journey from Jantar Mantar to Jaigarh Fort allowed me to enjoy the scenic beauty. The fort is famous for housing the world’s largest cannon, Jaivana.
From Jaigarh Fort, a quick 5 km auto ride took me to Jai Mahal, a heritage hotel surrounded by lush gardens. Though entry was restricted, the exterior was a sight to behold. The royal ambience and historical significance of Jai Mahal added a touch of grandeur to my journey.
After that, exploring Jaipur’s famous markets, I found myself in Johari Bazaar, renowned for its jewellery and textiles. The aroma of street food served in the narrow lanes makes us crave more to enjoy the local delights.
