Hello, I am Namrata Biswas. My partner and I recently embarked on an unforgettable bike road trip from Delhi to Jaipur, diving deep into the rich heritage and vibrant culture of the Pink City. Here’s a detailed account of our journey, filled with tips and insights to help you plan your own adventure.
Day 1: Setting Off and Exploring the Majestic Nahargarh Palace

Our adventure began at 5 am as we revved up our bike and set off from Delhi. The thrill of the open road and the promise of new experiences kept our spirits high during the 6-7 hour ride. As we entered Jaipur, we headed straight to Krishna Palace, a heritage hotel that perfectly captures the essence of Jaipur’s rich history.

After freshening up, we made our way to the iconic Nahargarh Palace. The ride through a narrow entrance and up the hill was exhilarating. Once at the top, the breathtaking view of Jaipur sprawled out beneath us was simply awe-inspiring. We spent the evening soaking in the stunning panorama, as the fort remains accessible till 10 pm.

Day 2: Delving Into Jaipur’s Royal Heritage

Our second day started with a visit to the magnificent City Palace. We opted for the royal ticket, priced at INR 3,000 per head, granting us access to the exquisite Sheesh Mahal, Chawi Niwas (blue room), and Shobha Niwas. After immersing ourselves in the palace’s opulence, we enjoyed some refreshing drinks at a nearby café.
Next, we visited the iconic Hawa Mahal. While the exterior’s intricate architecture was mesmerizing, the interior was relatively underwhelming. Nonetheless, it was a must-see landmark.

We then ventured to the unique Galtaji Temple at the foot of the hills. Unfortunately, the Chatt Puja celebrations made it overcrowded, hindering our experience. On our way back to the hotel, we discovered the beautiful and tranquil Sisodia Rani Ka Bagh. This lesser-known gem offered a peaceful escape and plenty of Instagram-worthy photo opportunities.
Day 3: Immersing in the Grand History of Amer Fort

On our final day, we explored the majestic Amer Fort. We had the option of reaching the top by elephant, vehicle, or on foot. We chose to walk, spending around three hours marveling at the fort’s grandeur and the stunning views from the top.

Afterward, we visited the historic Panna Meena Kund, a stepwell once used by the royal family. Its unique architecture and serene atmosphere made it a fascinating stop.
