Supriya is here, and with my friends, I set out on an exciting three-day trip to beautiful Manali, nestled in the Himalayas. This journey promised the ultimate adventure in the lap of nature. The exclusive trip is for those seeking a rejuvenating break from everyday life.

Accommodation in Manali
We have carefully selected accommodations that provide a cosy and welcoming ambience, allowing you to relax and rejuvenate after your daily adventures. We stayed at Hotel Mountain Top, a cosy retreat that cost Rs. 1200 per night. It offered a comfortable stay, surrounded by stunning views of the mountains. The hotel, carefully selected for its comfort and convenience, provides a relaxing and cosy atmosphere where you can unwind after your journey.
Places to visit in Manali
- Day 1: Chasing Waterfalls at Joogni
On the first day, we visited the lovely Joogni Waterfall, known for its stunning beauty. It is famous for its cascading beauty, providing a refreshing start to the trip. The entry fee was just Rs. 50 per person. We reached there easily with an auto rickshaw ride from our hotel, enjoying the scenic views along the way. After the waterfall, they explored the lively nearby markets and savoured delicious local treats.
- Day 2: Rohtang La and Mall Road Extravaganza
On the second day, we had an exciting trip to Rohtang La, where the entry ticket cost Rs. 500. Rohtang La is famous for its snowy peaks and stunning views, giving them a thrilling adventure. We travelled from our hotel to Rohtang La and to Mall Road, using rickshaws and autos. After Rohtang La, we explored Mall Road, enjoying shopping, delicious street food, and local Himachali dishes.
- Day 3: Serenity at Hadimba Devi Temple
On the last day, we visited the peaceful Hadimba Devi Temple, where the entry fee was Rs. 50. Dedicated to Hadimba Devi, the temple provided a serene getaway. The Hadimba or Dhoongri Temple is a significant historical and archaeological site. It’s dedicated to Goddess Hadimba, who was Bhima’s wife in the epic Mahabharata. This temple is one of the most famous in Manali, attracting tourists for its spiritual significance and impressive architecture. After exploring the temple, we walked through the local markets, buying souvenirs and enjoying delicious street food.
Foods you must try in Manali
- On our first visit, we tried momos and thukpa.
- On day two, we tried Maggi and local Himachali dishes, Aktori, Bhey, etc.
- On day three, we tried street food like sidu and babru.
Best Time to Visit Manali
The best time to enjoy Manali’s beauty is from March to June in the summer, while for snow lovers, December to February is perfect.
Tips for travellers
- Avoid scheduling your Manali trip during the rainy season when there is a higher than usual chance of landslides.
- Avoid consuming alcohol prior to engaging in any adventure sport.
- Remember to include medications for vertigo and motion sickness.
- Before you travel, eat light. Have candy on hand in case the hilly roads make you queasy.
- It is essential to have insect repellent creams and ointments with you when you go trekking or camping.
- Put on cosy footwear. This area has a lot of places that are walkable. Please, ladies—no stilettos.
- Keep your first-aid equipment on you at all times.
Leaving Manali’s stunning mountains behind, we took away a lot of memories of its beauty, lively markets, and delicious street food. Our trip was an ideal mix of adventure, culture, and tasty treats, leaving them all mesmerised by the magic of Manali.
