I am thrilled to share my recent adventure with you all. Also, I always had a passion for exploring new places and immersing myself in different cultures, and my latest journey took me to the beautiful city of Jabalpur in India. Also, from its majestic natural wonders to its rich history and vibrant local life, Jabalpur has so much to offer. So, let’s dive into the charm and allure of Jabalpur without wasting any time.
The best season to visit Jabalpur is from October to March, when the weather is pleasant. During winter, the weather is cool and comfortable, making it ideal for sightseeing.
From Singrauli to Jabalpur by train:

Our journey started from Singrauli Railway Station at 5 AM. Also, we arrived in Jabalpur around noon. The ticket cost was 150 INR for a 2S coach, which was quite affordable. Moreover, the budget for 3 people includes train tickets costing 150 INR per person, amounting to a total of 900 INR for a round trip.
Budget-friendly Accommodation in Jabalpur:
Upon arriving in Jabalpur, we booked a room at Hotel Samdariya Inn for 1500 INR per night. After checking in and leaving our luggage, we set out for our first location.
Also, the property boasts an in-house gymnasium and is conveniently located near the key entertainment and business centres in Jabalpur. Additionally, the hotel can arrange local sightseeing for its guests. The hotel costs 3000 INR for 2 days for 3 people.
Places to visit in Jabalpur: Adventure Begins
Day 1: Discovering the Marvels of Jabalpur

- Bhedaghat
Our first stop was from Hotel Bhedaghat, which takes 45 minutes by auto to reach. Known for its stunning marble rocks and Dhuandhar Falls, Bhedaghat is a visual delight. Also, the Narmada River flows through the marble rocks, creating spectacular views. We took a boat ride to see the marble rocks up close, which was an amazing experience with stunning views. After the boat ride, we enjoyed delicious local street food—hot samosas and jalebis.
- Dhuandhar Falls
This fall is located in Bhedaghat. Dhuandhar Falls is named for the smoky appearance created by the force of the water falling down the rocks. Also, the sight of the water crashing down from a great height was mesmerising, and the sound of the gushing water was both thrilling and calming. Moreover, we spent time soaking in the beauty and tranquillity of the place. The area around the falls was clean and well-maintained, and the falls created a refreshing mist.
- Madan Mahal Fort
An ancient fort built by the Gond rulers, Madan Mahal Fort offers a glimpse into the region’s history and architecture. To get from Dhuandhar Falls to Madan Mahal Fort, it takes 40 minutes by auto. The fort’s architecture was fascinating, and the view from the top was breathtaking. Also, we explored the fort, learning about its historical significance and enjoying the panoramic view of Jabalpur. Near the fort, we tried some local street food—spicy chaat and tangy pani puri. For our evening meal, we had delicious poha and tea at a local eatery.

Day 2: Exploring More of Jabalpur

- Balancing Rock
This is a fascinating natural wonder where a big rock balances on a small base. Travelling from the hotel to Balancing Rock takes 15 minutes by rickshaw. We were amazed by this unique sight. Also, it’s a great spot for photography and to see nature’s wonders. Moreover, for breakfast, we had delicious hot kachoris and aloo sabzi from a nearby stall, which was a perfect start to our day.
- Rani Tal
From Balancing Rock to Rani Tal is a 10-minute auto ride. The lake was calm and beautiful, providing a peaceful place to relax. Also, we spent time by the lake, enjoying the still waters and the surrounding greenery. It was the perfect spot to unwind and reflect.
- Kachnar City Shiva Temple
This temple has a 76-foot statue of Lord Shiva and is surrounded by lovely gardens. From Rani Tal to Kachnar City Shiva Temple, it takes 20 minutes by auto. Visiting it was a peaceful and spiritual experience. Also, the statues and gardens made the place feel very calm. Afterwards, we enjoyed some evening snacks, crispy pakoras and chai, which were delicious.

Must Know: Food and snacks will cost 2000 INR. Local transport, including auto and taxi, will be 1500 INR.
