Greetings, fellow travellers! My name is Injeela Wahid, and I am thrilled to share my recent adventure to Goa with you.
Route from Noida to Goa
After thinking about driving from Noida or taking flight tickets for Rs. 6,000 per person, we decided on the flights because driving seemed too stressful.
Accommodation in Goa:
Our accommodation was at South Goa’s Agonda Beach, where we stayed at Mary’s Kosa Resort for Rs. 3000 per night. The location was stunning, with several shacks and a cafe/bar situated between them. The overall atmosphere of the resort was very beach-like, and the washrooms were spotlessly clean. We could order food 24/7 from the cafe, which was incredibly convenient. The staff at the resort became increasingly friendly with us during our ten-day stay, and on several occasions, they even provided us with complimentary drinks.
Places to visit in Goa:
- Anjuna Flea Market:
I highly recommend shopping for beachwear in Goa since you can find comfortable, beachy clothes there. I wore slippers throughout my stay in Goa.
- Kayaking:
We also went kayaking for Rs. 500 on a river near Agoda Beach, which was a thrilling experience. The manager of the Mary Kosa resort connected us with someone who took us kayaking, and it was a blast.
- Beaches:
All the beaches we visited, including Anjuna, Ozran, Mandarin, Candolim, and Baga, had plenty of charming cafes and restaurants nearby. Shopping for souvenirs was a breeze since there were so many options. I tasted a variety of seafood, including crabs, octopus, squid, and fish.Visiting Beaches will always have a special spot in my heart.
- Candolim Beach:
We went on a steamer boat that cost Rs. 800 and saw numerous dolphins. It was an awe-inspiring experience to witness the vastness of the sea. I also tried parasailing at Candolim Beach, which cost Rs. 700.
Best Time to Visit Goa:
Visit Goa between November and February for the ultimate experience! With temperatures ranging from 21°C to 27°C, it’s the prime season, bustling with tourists worldwide. Delight in casinos, pubs, and the delightful weather as you revel in the beach atmosphere.
Necessary things to pack for Goa
- Carrying slippers and sunscreen is crucial.
- Packing your swimwear is a beach vacation.
- Carry a hat, cap, and umbrella to protect yourself from the heat and avoid tanning and exhaustion.
Travel Tips:
Here are some tips for anyone planning a trip to Goa:
- Staying on the beach, such as on shacks, will give you a genuine Goa experience.
- Be cautious when consuming seafood, as I became nauseous after eating octopus, which affected my vacation to some extent.
- It is recommended to spend at least one week to fully explore Goa. Four to five days may not be enough, as Goa is a vast place, and you might need some time to explore it without getting too tired. However, if you stay for more than a week, it might become repetitive and dull.
If you ask me, Goa’s true beauty appears after sunset. I thoroughly enjoyed my trip. As we board our flight home, we carry with us a lot of gifts and shopping bags.
