Salutations, fellow travellers! My name is Naman Arora, and I love to travel. I’m excited to tell you about my recent trip to the magical city of Rishikesh. Come along as I share the story of a two-day excursion that included thrilling activities and breathtaking views of nature.
Day 1: The Ride at Twilight
Having ridden my bikes for 130 kilometres to get to Rishikesh, my companions and I left Khatoli. We left before dusk to arrive at our destination by eight o’clock in the evening. We had originally intended to witness the captivating Ganga Aarti at Triveni Ghat, but unanticipated circumstances forced us to reschedule. Relentlessly, we diverted to Tapovan, which was just thirty minutes distant. We stumbled upon a quaint campsite that welcomed us for a night at the cost of 600 rupees.
Stories around a roaring campfire, mouthwatering Maggi noodles, and the calming sound of the surrounding river created the ideal atmosphere as the night went on.
Day 2: A Breakfast at the Rapids
A magnificent view of the river greeted us at sunrise, encouraging us to go for a cool swim. With a delicious breakfast of aloo parathas and chai, we resumed our exploration for the next day.
We said goodbye to our camping and made our way to Shivpuri. A drizzle increased the exhilaration of our voyage. As we arrived at Shivpuri, we focused on Marine Drive, which marked the beginning of our thrilling rafting journey. We decided to do the 9-kilometer route, which costs 600 rupees per person. Opting for the 9-kilometer route at 600 rupees per person, we navigated through thrilling rapids, each wave leaving us with a surge of adrenaline.
After our rafting adventure, we retired to Shivpuri’s comforts. A comfortable air-conditioned room was ours for a fair 1000 rupees a day, which included all of our meals. We enjoyed some local foods and took in the peace and quiet all around us during the day.
We considered the prudence of visiting during the monsoon season as the sun set on our trip to Rishikesh. It was an experience to remember because of the tranquilly, affordable costs, and enchanted atmosphere.
Traveller Advice:
- Shivpuri Commute: If you don’t feel like traversing winding roads, you might want to consider hiring a cab to Shivpuri.
- The best time to visit Rishikesh is in late July when things are less busy and you can really take in all of the area’s natural splendour.
In conclusion, our return home was marked not only by unforgettable memories but also by a fervent desire to uncover more hidden gems within our beautiful country.
