Hey there! I’m Deepak, and I want to share my awesome trip to Rajasthan with you. I spent 7 incredible days exploring Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, and Jaipur.
Started by Rajasthan Journey from Mumbai on October 3, 2023, and reached Jodhpur the next day at 5 a.m. Then went directly to witness the sunrise from Mata Temple (tekdi), near Mehrangarh Fort. Rajasthan is a place where you can cover a mix of historical, cultural, and architectural wonders.
Don’t forget to check for local events or festivals during your stay; participating can offer unique cultural insights.
Places to Visit in Rajasthan:

A Hidden gem in Jodhpur and Jaisalmer:
- Bishnoi Village in Jodhpur is worth exploring for an offbeat experience. The Rajas and Maharajas of Jodhpur founded Bishnoi Village Safari to showcase to Indian and foreign visitors the vibrant cultural life that surrounds their state of Marwar, a true representation of Rajasthan. The best local attraction in Jodhpur is Bishnoi Village Safari if you wish to explore Indian tribal culture. which is run by weaver Shambhuram Prajapat. The picturesque Bishnoi village in Jodhpur, Rajasthan is distinguished by its Khejri trees and deer population. The Guda Bishnoi Lake is in the village as well.

- Jaisalmer: Surya Hotel, located within the enchanting Jaisalmer Fort itself, offers breathtaking views from the window.
- Jaipur: Opted for a stay at the Hosteller again due to its budget-friendly nature.
Food Recommendations:
- Jaisalmer: CG Food is a great option for lunch and dinner; do try their Ghevar.
- Jodhpur: Stepwell Cafe, Mishrilal Lassi, and BlueBird Cafe are must-visit eateries.
- Jaipur: Enjoy the breathtaking view with delicious food at Steam. Don’t miss out on Golgappas at Chawlas and Nands. Savor a cup of masala chai at Gulab Ji Chai Wala for a perfect local experience.
Best Time to Visit Rajasthan:
Winter (October to March) is seen as the ideal time to visit Rajasthan because of the beautiful weather that lasts all day, which makes it ideal for exploring the state’s well-known sites and engaging in outdoor activities.
Necessary things to pack:

- Sunglasses and a hat to shield yourself from the strong sun.
- Light and breathable clothes for daytime, considering the warm climate.
- A light jacket or shawl for cooler evenings, especially during winter.
- Comfortable walking shoes for exploring forts and markets.
