Aditya who embarked on a 4-day adventure to explore the beauty and flavors of this enchanting place.
Day 1: Alleppey
My journey began as I landed at Cochin International Airport, which was about 75 kilometers away from Alleppey, my first destination. I checked into the cozy Ramada Alleppey, where I found a comfortable room for a reasonable price of 3000-7000 INR per night.
The highlight of my day was a visit to the Floating Market in Alleppey, a unique experience where vendors sold their goods from boats. Here, I tasted the most delectable fish curry I had ever encountered; it was unmatched by any other dish. For dinner, I savored Idiyappam, a local delicacy that left my taste buds tingling.
Day 2: Kochi
On the second day, I ventured to Kochi, just 29 kilometers from the airport. I opted to stay at The Trident, where I found a comfortable room in the range of 3000-10,000 INR per night. In Kochi, I couldn’t resist trying Pazham Pori, fried bananas, and Masala Dosa, a delightful crepe made from fermented rice and black lentils.
Day 3: Munnar
For my third day of adventure, I headed to Munnar, which was 110 kilometers away from the Cochin International Airport. From Cochin, I hired a cab to reach Munnar. I decided to stay at Misty Mountain Resorts, Munnar Terrace Greens, which offered rooms in the range of 3000-5000 INR per night. The breathtaking beauty of Munnar’s lush green tea gardens left me in awe.
During my stay in Munnar, I indulged in a traditional Kairali Thali and savored Beef Fry with Malabar Parottas, a delightful local delicacy.
Day 4: Thiruvananthapuram
My final destination was Thiruvananthapuram, which was easily accessible by air, trains, and national highways. I had a choice of accommodations, including Fortune Hotel The South Park, Classic Sarovar Portico, Hotel Galaxy Inn, and Vivanta by Taj, which ranged from 500 to 6000 INR per night.
During my stay in Thiruvananthapuram, I couldn’t resist trying Puttu and Ghee Roast Dosa, two delicious dishes that left me craving for more.
As my 4-day solo trip to Kerala came to an end, I couldn’t help but feel grateful for the unforgettable experiences and mouth watering cuisine I had enjoyed.
