Sneha is on this side, and I love travelling so much that recently took a fun trip to Bhubaneswar with my friends. It was special because it made me forget all my worries and enjoy the moment. Here are the details of our amazing journey.
Train Trip to Bhubaneswar: A Fun Journey and Comfortable Stay Options
How do I reach Bhubaneswar? Our trip started at Dhanbad Railway Station. The train left at 4 p.m., and we had a lot of fun on the journey. We arrived in Bhubaneswar the next day at 8 a.m. Also, the train tickets from Dhanbad to Bhubaneswar and the returning tickets amount to INR 15,000.

Where do I stay in Bhubaneswar? We stayed at Treebo Trend Oasis, a fantastic hotel, for INR 2200 per night. Also, accommodation expenses for 3 nights total INR 6,600.
Things to Do in Bhubaneswar: Immerse Yourself in History, Culture, and Nature
A Spiritual Journey into Odisha’s History Lingaraj Temple
After freshening up, we went to the Lingaraj Temple, one of Bhubaneswar’s most famous temples. The temple’s stunning architecture and calming spiritual atmosphere were amazing. We also tried delicious local street food like Dahibara Aloodum from a nearby vendor.

Moreover, the temple is about 5 kilometres from our hotel. We took an autorickshaw, which took around 20 minutes to get there.
Exploring Jaydev Vatika and the KISS Temple
The next morning, we visited Jaydev Vatika, a beautiful park perfect for a morning walk and relaxation. Also, the lush greenery and peaceful environment were refreshing. Moreover, the park is 10 km from our hotel, and it took about 30 minutes to get there by autorickshaw.

Later, we visited the KISS Temple, known for its serene environment and beautiful architecture. The temple is located in a peaceful area, perfect for meditation and relaxation. Also, it is 8 km from Jaydev Vatika, and it takes about 20 minutes to reach by auto rickshaw.
From Ancient Caves to Spiritual Serenity and Wildlife Exploration
On the third day, we explored the ancient Udayagiri and Khandagiri Caves. These historical caves offer stunning views and a glimpse into the region’s rich history. We also enjoyed tasty snacks like chaat and samosa from local vendors near the caves. Moreover, the caves are 10 km from our hotel, and it took around 25 minutes to get there by auto-rickshaw.

After visiting the caves, we went to Ram Mandir. The temple’s architecture is beautiful, and it holds great spiritual significance. We spent peaceful moments here, feeling a deep sense of reverence. Also, the temple is 5 km from Udayagiri and Khandagiri Caves, and it took about 15 minutes by auto-rickshaw.

In the afternoon, we visited Nandankanan Zoological Park. The park is home to a wide variety of animals and birds, making it a fun and educational experience. We also enjoyed some ice cream and cold drinks from the stalls inside the park. Moreover, the zoo is located 20 km from Ram Mandir, and it took us around 40 minutes to reach there by autorickshaw.

Final day of exploring Shikharchandi Hills and ISKCON Temple
On our last day, we visited Shikharchandi Hills. The hike was refreshing, and the view from the top was breathtaking. It was the perfect spot to relax and enjoy nature. Moreover, the hills are 12 km from our hotel, and it took us around 30 minutes to get there by autorickshaw.
Our final stop was the ISKCON Temple. The temple’s serene environment and beautiful idols were captivating. The energy of the place was uplifting, and we spent peaceful moments there. Also, the temple is located 10 km from Shikharchandi Hills, and it took about 25 minutes by auto-rickshaw to reach there.

Keep your belongings secure, and avoid isolated areas at night. Also, respect local customs and traditions for a smooth and enjoyable trip.
