Hey folks, Anshika Jain is here, one of your fellow travellers.
As a Delhiite, I’ve noticed the winters in Delhi getting chillier each year. But with this snowy winter, a day picnic with friends can make your whole day just memorable. So, I’ve put together my experience from my day picnic at Sunder Nursery.
How do I reach Sunder Nursery Garden?

To get to Sunder Nursery, hop on the Violet Line metro and alight at JLN metro station, the closest stop. From there, we took a quick auto ride, costing us only Rs. 20 each. Also, In just 10 minutes, we arrived at our destination, ready to explore Sunder Nursery.
A Day Out to Sunder Nursery’s Garden of Enchanting Beauty:

Sunder Nursery is home to over 80 species of birds and 60 species of butterflies.
After getting our tickets, we passed through security and stepped into a world of tranquillity. Sunder Nursery’s beauty is truly mesmerising. Also, we walked through lush greenery, vibrant flowers, and gentle streams flowing along flower-lined pathways.

Our next stop was the lake, or maybe it was a pond – whatever it was, it was serene. If you’re into capturing aesthetic moments, grab a bedsheet, spread it on the grass, and gather with friends. Share some laughs, sip on tea, and snack on our favourites while soaking in the beauty of the day. After spending a good time in the sun, we roam around and feel the breeze going through our untied hair and cheeks.
Sunder Nursery’s Farmers Market by Earth Collective is a great place to meet local producers and buy goods directly. It’s dedicated to sustainability, promoting personal health, well-being, and environmental awareness. Also, it’s one of Delhi’s best organic markets and definitely worth a visit.

Fabulous Feasts and Fun: Exploring Cafe in Sunder Nursery
Next up, head to Fab Cafe, right in the nursery. They offer a variety of food and drinks. Also, we took some aesthetic photos with my friends and did a little photoshoot. Moreover, we shot some mesmerising reels as well.

Sunder Nursery Park open and close times:
The park opens every day at 7 a.m. and closes at 10pm, with the last entry permitted at 9:30 p.m.
Exploring History: A Visit to Humayun’s Tomb
We had enough time right after exiting Sundar Nursery to visit Humayun Tomb, just opposite this place. Moreover, it’s one of the city’s famous Mughal-era monuments. Housing the tomb of Emperor Humayun, the second emperor of the Mughal Dynasty from the 16th century.
Tips for Travellers to Sunder Nursery, Delhi:
