Hello travel lovers, Priyanka here!!!
I set off on a three-day solo trip to Jaipur, craving its royal charm and lively culture. The city’s opulent forts, such as the iconic Forts of Mahal, serve as a reminder of its royal past. Stepping into these grand structures, visitors are greeted with intricate architecture and stunning artwork. Join me on my journey of exploring the Pink City’s hidden gems and getting lost in its beautiful charm.
Route to Jaipur
I started with a train journey from Lucknow, costing Rs. 2000 per person.

When visiting Jaipur, it’s essential to choose accommodations that complement the city’s regal charm. In Jaipur, I stayed at Hotel Kanhaia Haveli for Rs. 1800 per night, enjoying its regal ambience in the heart of the Pink City. This hotel offers a royal experience with its opulent rooms, impeccable service, and stunning architecture.
Places to visit in Jaipur
- Hawa Mahal
On the first day, I started my royal adventure with a visit to the famous Hawa Mahal, where entry tickets are for Rs. 50. From my hotel to Hawa Mahal, it was a picnic with a rickshaw ride, letting me absorb the lively atmosphere of the streets. This architectural wonder, also known as the Palace of Winds, captivated her with its intricate windows and honeycomb structure. Also, the mahal marvels at the palace’s unique honeycomb structure with its intricate latticework windows. As she climbs to the top, I enjoy the cool breeze that passes through the palace and takes in the panoramic view of the city. After exploring the palace, I walked through the shopping markets nearby, indulging in local street food delicacies like pyaaz kachori and kulfi.
- Jantar Mantar
On the second day, I explored Jantar Mantar and City Palace. I began my day by visiting Jantar Mantar, where the ticket cost 200 INR. Built by Maharaja Jai Singh II, Jantar Mantar is an astronomical observatory that reflects the king’s love for science and astronomy.
- Majestic City Palace
The City Palace, a superb blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture, is a testament to Jaipur’s royal heritage. I was awestruck by the palace’s intricately designed gates, courtyards, and gardens. Also, I explore the Diwan-e-Khas, or the Hall of Private Audience, and the Chandra Mahal, the residence of the royal family. The palace also houses a museum where I can learn about Jaipur’s history through a rich collection of artefacts. Also, I enjoyed exploring the local markets, traditional Rajasthani handicrafts, and savoury street food treats like dal baati, churma, and ghewar.
- Nahargarh Fort
On the last day, I visited Nahargarh Fort by autorickshaw, where the ticket cost Rs. 200. Known for its breathtaking city views and history, Nahargarh Fort offered a memorable experience. After exploring, she indulged in shopping for traditional Rajasthani jewellery in the nearby markets and treated herself to street food favourites like Mirchi Bada and kalmi vada.
