Welcome to my travel updates recounting our delightful journey to the coastal paradise of Daman. Join me as I share our experiences with family, recommendations, and tips for an unforgettable getaway to this charming destination.
A Journey Along the Coastal Route, Daman:
With my family, I took a flight from Delhi to Daman, which set us back about Rs. 8,000. It was just a short 3-day vacation. The journey was a bit bumpy, but once we landed in Daman, a cool ocean breeze welcomed us, instantly refreshing us and washing away any tiredness from the trip.

Finest Accommodations for Your Coastal Retreat:
We stayed at the peaceful Praveg Beach Resort for our three-day trip, which cost us Rs. 5,000 per night. Lao, the hotel is a sea-facing hotel located near Lighthouse Beach. Moreover, the experience is the essence of a tropical vacation at our coastal-themed resort in Daman, with a touch of Portuguese-style design.
Wake up to stunning views of the Arabian Sea from your window. Explore our tastefully designed resort, located on the iconic Lighthouse Beach. Also, our sea-facing stay offers a beachside experience, set against the backdrop of the historical Moti Daman Fort and serene panoramic views of the sea.
Daman’s Attractions for Every Traveller’s Itinerary:

It showcases impressive Portuguese architecture, is a top tourist spot in Daman, and draws crowds with its sprawling 30,000-square-metre area and historic cannons. Also, these cannons, adorned with striking carvings, captivate visitors. The fort also boasts the Church of Bom Jesus and the Chapel of Our Lady of the Rosary. Although, there is no entry fee to visit the fort.

As well as this enchanting garden is a perfect retreat for families and couples alike. The time to visit is 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Also, there is a fee for boating. Moreover, for videography or photography, it costs about Rs. 30.

Daman’s Best-Kept Secret Places: A Hidden Gem
One hidden gem was Naida Cave; it was stunning. We mostly ate affordable street food. We also had Maggie for Rs. 100 and tried food at Daman Food Park, which cost us around Rs. 1000 for 4 people.
Also, the challenge we faced was managing our time to visit most of the places, which we couldn’t do.

Discovering the Ideal Season for Coastal Bliss Daman:
Daman enjoys a moderate climate throughout the year, making it an ideal destination for a visit at any time. However, the months from October to March are considered the best time to explore this coastal gem, as the weather is pleasantly cool, perfect for beach outings and sightseeing.
Daman Travel Tips & Hacks:
- Take your time on the beaches; they are very calming and relaxing.
- Also, we mostly travelled by taxi, which cost us around Rs. 300.
- Some necessary things to pack would be slippers for the beach, sunscreen, and some light clothes.
So, these are a few suggestions for you. Overall, our experience was great, and we’ll go back there in a few years to explore more places. Also, I always feel a special connection with beaches and enjoy my time there.
