Hello everyone, I’m Antra. I recently went on a family trip to Bangalore, and I had a great time. I also want to share my experience with you. Moreover, we booked our train tickets ahead of time and travelled in October, which is a nice month because of the pleasant weather. We also reserved our hotel in advance, so we didn’t have to worry about where to stay when we arrived.
The Journey Begins and Cosy Stays in Bangalore:
Our train left Prayagraj at 8 PM, and each ticket cost about ₹2600. Also, the journey took around 38–40 hours. After a long trip, we finally reached Bangalore. Moreover, we checked into our hotel, HOTEL INN EXPRESS, dropped off our luggage, had dinner, and went to sleep. The next day, we began exploring the city.
Furthermore, Our trip budget for five family members was estimated between ₹50,000 and ₹60,000.
Day 1: Exploring the Beauty of Mysore and Bangalore.
On our first day, we visited the stunning Mysore Palace and the serene ISKCON Temple. Mysore Palace is about 145 km from Bangalore, and it took us around 3-4 hours to get there by car. Also, the palace is a beautiful historical site with amazing architecture. Moreover, we loved exploring the palace and learning about its fascinating history.
In the afternoon, we headed to the ISKCON Temple in Bangalore. It was a peaceful and spiritual experience. Likewise, the temple is located within the city, and it took us about 30 minutes to reach it from our hotel. We enjoyed a delicious and hygienic lunch served as prasadam (sacred food) at the temple.
Day 2: Picnic at Lalbagh Botanical Garden
The next day, we headed to the beautiful Lalbagh Botanical Garden, just 6 km from our hotel. After a quick 20-30-minute drive, we arrived at this serene garden, which is famous for its wide variety of plants and flowers. Also, we enjoyed a relaxing picnic-style lunch, soaking in the beauty and calmness of nature.
Day 3: Adventure at Bannerghatta National Park
Our third day was filled with adventure at Bannerghatta National Park, located 22 km from Bangalore, which took us about 1 hour to reach. Also, we enjoyed a safari, visited the zoo, and explored the butterfly park, making it an exciting day for the kids. Moreover, we had lunch at local stalls inside the park, indulging in South Indian delicacies.
Day 4: Vidhana Soudha and Bangalore Fort
On our final day, we visited Vidhana Soudha, a magnificent government building in central Bangalore. The architecture was impressive, and we enjoyed some street snacks like churmuri (spicy puffed rice) and refreshing coconut water.
Next, we explored Bangalore Fort, just a short 20-30 minute drive from Vidhana Soudha. Built in the 16th century, the fort had fascinating architecture and historical significance. For dinner, we returned to our hotel and treated ourselves to Bangalore’s local specialities like Bisi Bele Bath and Mysore Pak.
Must know: The budget breakdown included ₹13,000 for train fare (₹2,600 per person). Also, ₹7,500 for a three-night hotel stay at ₹2,500 per night. Moreover, ₹30,000 for meals (₹1,500 per day for four days). We even allocated approximately ₹5,000 for local transport and around ₹5,000 for entry fees and miscellaneous expenses.
