In the heart of the Himalayas lies a land of ethereal beauty and timeless romance—Kashmir. We had an amazing Kashmir trip organised by “Classic Holidays Kashmir”. Ultimately, the trip lasted 7 nights and 8 days, filled with unforgettable experiences.
Route from Hyderabad to Kashmir:
We had a flight from Hyderabad to Kashmir, which cost us Rs. 42,000. Also, additional local expenses for lunches, rides, dry fruit shopping, etc. cost us Rs. 30,000.

Accommodation in Kashmir:
- Upon arrival in Srinagar, we checked into the Hotel Gurcoo Residency and began our local sightseeing after a quick lunch.
- Also, on day three we stayed at the Pine Spring Gulmarg Hotel.
- On day four we admired our stay at the The Hermitage by Grand Resort. It had apple gardens flanking the roads and checked into The Hermitage by Grand Resorts, surrounded by snow-capped mountains.
- Moreover, on the sixth day we headed back to Srinagar for a night on the Wangnoo Sheraton Group of Houseboats.
8-day itinerary for a romantic couple trip to Kashmir:
- Nishat Bagh Garden:
On the first day, we flew from Hyderabad to Srinagar and checked into our hotel. Later we had a quick lunch, and we started exploring Srinagar by visiting the beautiful Nishat Bagh garden. Also, the Nishat Bagh is a terraced Mughal garden located on the eastern side of Dal Lake.

- Shikara ride:
Afterwards, we enjoyed a serene Shikara ride at Dal Lake. We also stop by local shops to purchase shawls and dry fruits. The evening chill in Srinagar felt quite different from the warmth of Hyderabad, but we soon welcomed the change.

- Doodhpatri:
Due to heavy snowfall, our planned excursion to Sonmarg on day two was diverted to Doodhpatri. It was a picturesque destination with lush green meadows. Also, we were able to relax and capture stunning photographs in a serene environment.
- Zero Bridge:
Returning to Srinagar, we visited the historical Zero Bridge before adjusting to the chilled weather.
- Gulmarg:
On Day Three, we visited Gulmarg and stayed overnight at the hotel. Although there was a technical issue that stopped the gondola rides, the snow-covered landscapes were still beautiful. In the evening, it started snowing, which added to the already enchanting experience. Also, we had to use additional room heaters to stay warm.

- Pahalgam:
Continuing on Day 4, we enjoyed the snowfall, capturing traditional attire photos before departing for Phahalgam for a two-night stay.

- Different Valley:
On day five, we explored Aru Valley, Betab Valley, and Chandanwari, with Betab Valley being a popular tourist spot. The scenic beauty of the journey was unparalleled, with snow-clad mountains lining our paths.

- Tulip Garden:
On the sixth day, we went back to Srinagar for a night on the houseboat. Finally, a visit to the newly opened Tulip Garden was best before enjoying a leisurely day on the houseboat.
Finally our Kashmir trip was over.We bid farewell to the houseboat and headed back to Hyderabad. Also, we carried the best and cherished memories of a journey filled with natural beauty and cultural experiences.

Hidden Gem in Kashmir, India
- Baisaran Valley: A pony ride to Baisaran Valley, also known as Mini Switzerland. It was a highlight before returning to the hotel.
- Wangnoo Sheraton Group of Houseboats: The hotel offers spacious deluxe rooms equipped with modern amenities. Also, the famous Pari Mahal is just 17 km away.
The best time to visit Kashmir for romantic feelings:
For a romantic trip, the best time to visit Kashmir is in the summer, from June to August. Also, this is when many people flock to experience the state, often described as paradise on earth.
Necessary things to carry :
- For warm days, go for linen clothing or lightweight cotton.
- Bring a sweater or light jacket for cooler evenings and mornings.
- Comfortable walking sneakers or shoes are a must for exploring.
- Also, don’t forget sunscreen, sunglasses, and insect repellent. Wear a cap or hat for sun protection.
- Carry a backpack with water, snacks, and essentials.
- Remember any medications and a first-aid kit too.
Tips for travellers:
- It is hard to find a network in Kashmir, so don’t rely on UPI for your payments; keep plenty of cash with you.
- Also, keep plenty of warm clothes. Especially if you plan on visiting locations at higher altitudes.
- Be well-researched about the taxi fares; if you are not, there is a high chance the drivers will take advantage of it.
The total cost for the trip is Rs. 86,000 for two, covering hotel stays, breakfast and dinner, and local travel in a dedicated cab. Kashmir has added a more loveable bond between us; it was a romantic, cosy trip that will forever remain in our hearts.
