Our journey started with a train ride from Jabalpur Railway Station at 8 PM, reaching Nashik Road at 9 AM. The train was punctual, and the tickets cost 900 INR per person for a round trip. I was accompanied by three friends, making the journey more fun and memorable.
Upon arrival, we checked into Hotel Royal Heritage, which cost us 1500 INR per night. After waking up and having a light meal, we explored Nashik.
Day 1: Spiritual Sojourn and Scenic Vineyards

- Trimbakeshwar Temple
Our first stop was the ancient Trimbakeshwar Temple, located about 28 km from Nashik. We took an auto to get there and were greeted by the temple’s serene and devotional atmosphere. The local street food around the temple, including vada pav and misal pav, was a delightful treat.
- Sula Vineyards
Next, we headed to Sula Vineyards, 15 km from Trimbakeshwar and also 15 km from Nashik. Also, the entry fee was 400 INR per person, covering a tour and wine tasting. The vineyard, the largest in India, was a feast for the eyes with its expansive fields and beautiful scenery. We found learning about the wine-making process fascinating, and the relaxed atmosphere made it a perfect end to our first day.
- Panchavati
In the evening, we visited Panchavati, located in the heart of Nashik. This place holds great religious significance and was bustling with devotees. We enjoyed local delicacies like sabudana khichdi and kachori, adding to our vibrant experience of the day.

Day 2: Trekking, History, and Serenity of Nashik

- Anjaneri Hills
The next morning, we took an auto to Anjaneri Hills, believed to be the birthplace of Lord Hanuman. It locates about 20 km from Nashik. We find the trek to the top moderately challenging but we are rewarded with breathtaking views. The natural beauty and tranquillity of the place were remarkable.
- Pandavleni Caves
Our next destination was the Pandavleni Caves, ancient rock-cut caves located 28 km from Nashik. The entry fee was a mere 25 INR per person. Also, the caves, adorned with beautiful carvings, offered a splendid view and a deep dive into history.
- Muktidham Temple
Located within the city, Muktidham Temple is known for its unique architecture and replicas of the 12 Jyotirlingas. Also, the spiritual and calming experience here was truly enriching.

- Dudhsagar Falls
In the afternoon, we visited Dudhsagar Falls, around 30 km from Nashik. Also, the falls were a scenic marvel, with the sound of the cascading water and lush green surroundings creating a mesmerising atmosphere.
- Ramkund
We ended our day at Ramkund, a holy place on the banks of the Godavari River. Here, we indulged in local snacks like bhel and pav bhaji, soaking in the serene and peaceful vibes of the place.

- The best time to visit Nashik is from October to March, when the weather is pleasant. Also, Nashik has a moderate climate, but summers can be hot. Winters are the best with cool and pleasant weather.
- Moreover, carry light clothes, comfortable shoes, sunscreen, hats, and water bottles.
- Likewise, book accommodations in advance, especially during festival seasons.
- As well as hire local autos or rickshaws for convenient travel between locations.
- Keep cash handy for street food and entry fees.
