Hey there, fellow wanderers!
I’m Amit, an avid traveller with an insatiable thirst for discovering new horizons. Today, I’m thrilled to recount the adventures of my recent escapade to the sun-kissed shores of Goa, accompanied by a few of my closest friends.
Goa Getaway Begins: Travel and Accommodation:
Our journey started at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport with an 11 p.m. flight. In about an hour, we reached Goa’s Dabolim Airport.

We booked a room at Amara Ocean Front Resort and Club near Baga Beach for INR 5,500 per night. The next day, we explored the vibrant and lively Goa.
Must know: Flight tickets (Mumbai to Goa and return tickets) cost INR 20,000. Accommodation for 4 nights totals INR 22,000.
Baga Beach Bonanza: Sun, Sand, Curry, and Thrills

Our first stop was Baga Beach, known for its lively atmosphere and activities. Our resort was right next to Baga Beach, making it a convenient start to our trip. We enjoyed Goan fish curry and pork vindaloo from a beachside shack. Also, a thrilling banana boat ride with friends was an unforgettable experience. Moreover, the beach was packed with tourists, creating an electric atmosphere.
A Day of Tranquilly at Calangute Beach and Church

The next day, we visited Calangute Beach, often called the Queen of Beaches. It was an ideal spot to relax under the sun and enjoy the sand and sea. Just 2 km from Baga Beach, we reached here in 5–10 minutes by renting a scooter. Also, we took a stroll along the shore and savoured coconut water and local snacks from nearby vendors.
Later in the afternoon, we explored St. Francis Church, a historic and well-preserved church in North Goa. Located about 10 kilometres from Calangute Beach, it took us approximately 20 minutes by scooter to reach there. Its serene atmosphere and magnificent architecture made our visit peaceful and enriching.
Exploring Goa: Fort Aguada and Anjuna Flea Market
Our third day began with a visit to Fort Aguada, a historic Portuguese fort overlooking the Arabian Sea. Fort Aguada is approximately 15 km from our resort, which we reached in about 25 minutes by scooter. We also admired stunning views and savoured local street food like pani puri and roasted corn from nearby vendors.

Later, we ventured to the renowned Anjuna Flea Market. Located about 10 km from Fort Aguada, we reached the Anjuna Flea Market in around 20 minutes by scooter. Also, this bustling spot offered a vibrant array of stalls selling everything from clothing to souvenirs. We picked up some lovely handmade jewellery and souvenirs, enjoying the market’s lively atmosphere of colours, sounds, and enticing aromas.

Saturday Night Market at Arpora: Our Final Day

Our final day was spent at the Saturday Night Market in Arpora, a lively hub of unique goods, food stalls, and live music. The market is about 7 km from Anjuna, and we reached there in approximately 15 minutes by scooter. Also, we browsed through quirky items, enjoyed live performances, and indulged in delicious food from various stalls. Moreover, the market buzzed with energy and provided a fitting end to our trip.
