How to reach Kerala:
Our adventure kicks off with an early morning flight from Delhi to Kochi with Axis Bank Vistara Infinite credit card reward points. Landing in Kochi, we’re greeted by the warm embrace of Homestays at Fort Kochi, our cosy abode for the day.
Also, for our return we had an early morning flight back to Delhi by Vistara Airlines.

We got up at 5 a.m. for the sunrise. After that, we went to Echo Point, Jaguar Hill, and the Tea Garden. Then, we visited a local tea factory, where we learned about the tea-making process. The tea plantation tour costs Rs. 500 per person.

Bid farewell to Kerala as we board our early morning flight back to Delhi, cherishing the memories of our unforgettable journey.
Best Time to Visit Kerala:
Kerala’s prime visiting season is from September to April, boasting pleasant weather. This period is perfect for experiencing the charm of Kerala’s houseboats. Also, I visited in April for this wonderful trip. Yet, don’t overlook the monsoon from June to August; it adds a romantic vibe with lush greenery, making it another great time for a getaway.
List of Must-Pack Items for Kerala:
- Pack light cotton clothes for Kerala’s warm, humid climate.
- Bring a light jacket, especially if visiting Munnar or Wayanad, where the weather can get cool.
- Even carry rainwear if travelling during the monsoon season.
- Don’t forget sun protection: sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat.
- Also, bring a reusable water bottle to avoid using too much plastic; many hotels offer RO water refills.
- Moreover, wear comfortable walking shoes for exploring Kerala’s diverse landscapes.
Tips for travelling to Kerala:
- Renting a bike offers flexibility and adventure in exploring Kerala’s scenic landscapes.
- Also, interact with fellow travellers at hostels like Zostel for a more enriching journey.
- Moreover, book accommodations in advance for a leisurely experience.
Whether it’s sipping tea between the hills or bonding with fellow travellers, every moment is a cherished memory. I had the most fun on the trip, with loveable memories.
