Trek to Heaven – Mullayanagiri
Mullayanagiri Peak is the highest peak in India’s Western Ghats and provides hikers and nature lovers with an exhilarating experience. Traveling to Mullayanagiri is an adventure through luxuriant, unspoiled forests and stunning scenery.
Hebbe Falls: Nature’s Hidden Adventure Gem
Another amazing natural wonder there is Hebbe Falls, which is about 25 kilometers from Chikmagalur town and guarantees an amazing adventure. Travelers can experience a unique combination of hiking, breathtaking scenery, and the thrill of finding a hidden gem on the journey to Hebbe Falls, which is an expedition into the heart of nature. The waterfall consists of two sections, both plummeting from a breathtaking height of 551 feet. Numerous adventurous tourists like stopping to swim in the clear pool that the waterfall created.

We learned about the craft of coffee cultivation as we strolled hand in hand through the emerald coffee fields.

We chose the luxury and convenience of a night super bus to travel from Bangalore to Chikmagalur by night. Also, we made our home at Green Mist Holiday Inn, just 4.5km from the city center, and enjoyed a cozy 3-night stay.

Best Time to visit Karnataka:
The best months to visit Chikmagalur are thought to be October to February. These months have mild, cool weather, with highs and lows between 14°C and 32°C. The winter season is often regarded as the best by tourists. The verdant landscapes of the monsoon, which lasts from July to September, can also be a unique experience if you love the monsoon season and don’t mind the rain.
For Chikmagalur, pack light jackets for cooler months (winter and spring) when evenings get chilly. Don’t forget raincoats in the monsoon season (July to September) for heavy rains. When we went, the peaks were really cold. We visited in July, and while reaching MullayanaGiri Peak, it started to rain.

At Siri Cafe, we savored a delicious selection of dosas and mouthwatering munchies while enjoying steaming coffee. Our dining experience was made even more charming by the stunning scenery. In addition, the little stores we came across atop the peaks were a lifesaver when we got tired from our hike and needed some much-needed warmth.
