Hello, my adventure seekers! Mrinal, here is your travel companion!!!
Come and join me on a thrilling journey filled with adrenaline, breathtaking scenery, and unforgettable experiences as we explore the heights of Bir Billing. Located in the beautiful state of Himachal Pradesh, Bir Billing is a hidden gem for adventure enthusiasts. It is renowned as the paragliding capital of India and is also the second-highest paragliding point worldwide.

Overnight Journey from Delhi to Bir Billing Adventure: Day 1
Take an overnight AC Volvo bus from Delhi to Pir, arriving around 9 a.m. It’s best to plan for a Friday departure, as I made the most of the weekend.
Trekking to Bonguru Waterfall and Relaxing Evening Explorations: Day 2
Once I arrived in Bir, I settled into a peaceful hostel, or you can opt for a dorm bed at budget-friendly prices. After that, freshen up and consider a short trek to the secluded Bonguru Waterfall. The trek lasts about 2–3 hours, with a few challenging points. I suggest hiring a local guide, typically costing Rs. 200–300 per person, for assistance.
After my trek, I decided to walk around and explore the charm of the local market and cafes. The hostel has plenty of activities too, like chilling by the bonfire.

Flying High with Paragliding Adventures and Sunset Serenity: Day 3
On Day 3, get ready for the thrilling adventure you’ve been waiting for—paragliding! From a breathtaking 8,000 feet above sea level, you’ll soar through the skies. During the off-season, it costs between Rs. 2000 and Rs. 4000, but during peak times, it’s around Rs. 4000. Your pilot will pick you up right from your hostel and whisk you off to the take-off site at Billing, 18 km from Pir, in a sturdy four-wheeler—all included in the price.
Prepare to fly for a lifetime, capturing every moment with a complimentary video. The entire experience takes about 2–3 hours. Travelling from Pir to Billing takes about an hour, and then you’ll spend around 30 minutes in the air during the paragliding itself. Preparing for the flight may take another half to an hour, depending on the wind conditions and crowd.
After your thrilling, flying experience, we enjoy the breathtaking sunset at the paragliding spot. Bir is famous for its gorgeous sunsets, especially when the winter line tints the horizon with a reddish hue, mesmerising tourists from everywhere. Spend the rest of the day exploring the local markets, reliving your unforgettable experience in the sky.

Exploring Bir’s Peaceful Monastery Retreats Before Departure: Day 4
I chilled out and checked out the monasteries nearby; there are also plenty of nice parks and serene monasteries. I sat there for a while and enjoyed the peaceful vibes. Also, there are still some cafes where you can try the local food and shop in the market. Later, I hopped on a bus back to Delhi in the evening.
Where to stay in Bir billing?
I stayed at this awesome hostel called Zostel Bir. It’s a nice place with a calm vibe. I picked a dorm bed for about Rs. 500 per night.
