Calling all travel enthusiasts with a thirst for adventure and a love for breathtaking landscapes!!!
Today, we embark on a unique expedition through the heart of the Western Ghats, travelling for the luxurious comfort of a Vistadome coach, promising a visual feast as we traverse the scenic Sakleshpur-Subramanya Ghat route.
Luxury Train Travel Through the Western Ghats:
Stepping onto the platform at Yesvantpur Railway Station from Karnataka, I felt the cool mist of the monsoon air wrap around me. Also, the train tickets cost us Rs. 7,000 per person.
I had been eagerly awaiting this day for weeks—my journey through the Western Ghats on the Sakleshpur-Subramanya Ghat route. With a ticket for a Vistadome coach, I was ready for the breathtaking views promised by its large windows and occasional glass roofs, offering an immersive experience of the scenic Ghats.
Arriving early at the station, I got myself a hot cup of tea and a pastry from a nearby stall. I also enjoyed the taste while I watched the station bustle and was excited for my journey through the Western Ghats.
Moreover, settling into the Vistadome coach I marvelled at the expansive views through its large windows. Also, the Vistadome coach was spacious and comfortable. As the train departed at 7:00 AM, I enjoyed the lush green countryside and the looming majesty of the Western Ghats.
Sakleshpur’s Embrace: Waterfalls, Forests, and Mist
Around 11:00 AM, we arrived at Sakleshpur, where the ghat section began. As I stepped off the couch, I could smell the rain in the air and feel the heavy mist. Also, the sound of rushing water hinted at the adventure awaiting us.
Moreover, we boarded the coach once again, and the journey through the ghats began. The view was amazing! Waterfalls flowed down, forests were vibrant green, and mountains disappeared into the mist. Also, it felt like stepping into a magical, dreamy world.
Scenic and Beautiful Vistadome Coach Journey:
The Vistadome coach was the perfect way to experience this journey. Also, the large windows and glass roof allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the scenery, while the comfortable seats and attentive staff made the experience all the more enjoyable. Moreover, I spent the next few hours simply taking in the sights and sounds, feeling a sense of peace and tranquillity that I had not experienced in a long time.
Subramanya Road, a Journey’s End, and Everlasting Memories:
As we neared Subramanya Road, the last stretch of the winding mountain roads, I started feeling a bit down. Also, the trip was almost over, and I didn’t want it to be. But when the bus stopped at the station, I realised that the moments we shared would stick with me forever.
Taking all expenses into account, the rough total budget for the trip ranges from Rs. 27,000 per person for the 6-day duration. This includes accommodation at Rs. 6,000 per person, meals at Rs. 700 per day, local transportation at Rs. 2,000, and additional activities at Rs. 3,000.
Don’t miss out on the Vistadome coach ride through the Western Ghats during the monsoon! The views are incredible, and it’s the best way to enjoy the beauty of the area. I’d definitely recommend it for an unforgettable trip.Love travel stories? Check out Sowl https://sowl.in/stories for inspiring adventures! Safe travels, explorer!
