Hello travel lovers! Aishani here!!! During the summer break, my group of college friends planned a trip to Pondicherry, fondly referred to as “Pondi” by locals. Also,I was lucky enough to join them on this adventure filled with fun-filled activities and nightlife experiences. As a travel enthusiast, Aishani was thrilled to be part of this soulful retreat.
Route to Pondicherry and Accommodation:
Our journey started early in the morning from our college in Vellore. We hired a cab for Rs 800 per head and reached our Airbnb accommodation by evening. We spent the night unwinding, indulging in delicious food, and bonding with each other over quality time together.
On the second day, we checked into a villa that we had pre-booked. It’s important to book everything in advance in this popular tourist destination, especially during the summer break season when there is high demand for accommodation. The cost per person for our villa stay was Rs 2000.
Places to Visit in Pondicherry
- Rock Beach:
We woke up at 6 a.m. and headed to the beach to enjoy the cool breeze and water after a good night’s sleep. After freshening up and changing into fresh clothes, we visited a cosy cafe for lunch.
- Crafts Bazaar:
After that we visited the Crafts Bazaar, which is a flea market that offers handicrafts and unique items for sale. We enjoyed some shopping before heading to Lighthouse Beach to spend more time there. To make our travel more convenient, we rented scooters for Rs. 350 per day.
- Flaming Dragon’s Lounge and Nightlife:
As the sun began to set, we went back to our Airbnb and changed into our night-out outfits. We then visited a nearby bar before heading to Flaming Dragon’s Lounge and Nightlife Club, where the entry fee for couples was Rs 1000. We danced the night away, enjoying the music and drinks, and returned to our Airbnb before midnight.
- Beach fun and lunch at the cafe:
Also, we went to a nearby beach and had lunch at a café, costing about Rs 700 per person. Afterwards, we enjoyed the beautiful scenery and cool breeze at the beach before heading back to the villa for the night. We had a great time together, cherishing the memories we made on this peaceful trip.
