Journey through the Himalayan Heights
The fresh mountain breeze welcomed us as we took off our plane and made our way to Manali, where our epic climb of the Friendship Peak Expedition would kick off. Excitement buzzed among our fearless crew, and as we started going up, we sensed this was going to be a truly memorable adventure.
It’s important to be well-prepared both mentally and physically for the challenges of climbing a peak like Friendship. It might be a challenging trek, so keep a good outlook, encourage other climbers, and enjoy the experience. Be mindful of the environment, and make sure you leave no trace behind.
Route to Solang Valley:
Our route took us through the charming village of Solang Valley on our trip, which is the starting point for a lot of exciting experiences in the Himalayas. To reach the base camp, we hiked through verdant pine trees, over clear rivers, and steep ridges.

On the way, we explored Solang Valley.
- Dhundi
- Beas Kund

- Friendship Peak
Every location on the trip was unique, giving us amazing vistas and chances to immerse ourselves in the region’s natural beauty.
Hidden Gems Visited in Manali:
A hidden treasure on our journey was Beas Kund. The lake was crystal-clear and surrounded by tall peaks. It was a beautiful sight. The place was peaceful and gave us a break from our challenging hike. We found some charming, lesser-known trails and met friendly locals who told us stories about living in the mountains.
Best Food and Accommodation in Manali:
We chose to eat at small dhabas and cafés along the way, where the Himachali cuisine is served. With warm cups of chai, we had traditional foods including Chana Madra, Dham, and Babru.
We opted for both homestays in the villages and tents at the base camp for our lodging. The hospitality of the local hosts added a memorable touch to our journey.
