Hey wanderers! 🌍 Sahil this side…!!!
Just got back from an epic journey that I can’t wait to share with you all. From the bustling streets of Delhi to the serene landscapes of Dharamshala and the adrenaline-pumping heights of Bir, this trip was a rollercoaster of experiences. To know more about me peep into my Instagram account -travellersahil_
It was a 3 to 4-day trip from Delhi – Dharamshala – Bir – Delhi. Try to plan during an extended weekend for people staying in Delhi NCR). Packed my bags and hopped on the Himsuta Volvo bus from Delhi to McLeod Ganj. The government buses are my go-to for their punctuality. Arrived in McLeod Ganj early in the morning and checked into a cozy spot in Dharamkot , just 2 km above McLeod Ganj. It’s a suggestion to Book your stay in advance. The vibe here is something else!
Day 1 : Triund trek
After a quick rest, I geared up for the Triund trek. You can start in the morning and easily return in the evening(depending on your body’s stamina). A moderate climb that took around 4 hours, but the views from the top were worth every step.
Also, you have the option of staying overnight in a forest guest house or coming back the same day. You can make a Booking with the forest office in Dharamshala. Call their landline or consult a local travel agent to secure your booking before the trip, as availability is often limited.
Day 2: McLeod Ganj Exploration
Woke up in the Himalayan haven and explored McLeod Ganj, nearby attractions, and visited the enchanting monasteries. The spiritual aura here is surreal. Ended the day with a feast of lip-smacking Tibetan delicacies in McLeod.
Day 3: Dharamshala to Bir early
Boarded a private bus from Dharamshala to Bir early in the morning. A 4-hour journey that flew by in excitement. Reached Bir before noon and promptly booked my slot for paragliding. After transporting you to Billing, the adventure agency will arrange for your takeoff and arrival at Bir. After that, we had something to eat in the evening.
As the journey approached its end, we boarded the overnight Volvo bus back to Delhi, cherishing the unforgettable experiences and the incredible beauty of the Himalayas.
